OKAY! NOW, THIS IS A
GREAT HOLIDAY GIFT IDEA!!!!
A few years ago, before the shop was
remodeled with its Tuscan-Med motif and handsome granite tasting bar (in
beautiful downtown Citrus Heights under the swaying palm trees and bright neon
lights!) this creative idea for a group Christmas
present would not have been very attractive. It was a brave soul
that passed through the poster riddled door of the no
frills, cluttered, bachelor clubhouse/wine shop known as The Wine
Consultant. Some will blame Renee's "calming" influence, others just
figure I stopped being the boss! Whatever, the store's ambiance is a
big improvement and it always proves fun when someone who hasn't seen the change
comes wandering in and wonders what the hell happened?.....or where did that
"wine guy" go?
Why not eliminate most of
the gift decisions and hectic hassles that create stress during the
holiday season by hosting a private, after hours, custom wine tasting
(party) at The Wine Consultant? Now, I am not talking about
booking the store during the holiday season. Rather, invite 10 to 12 of
your neighbors, or business associates, or clients or family members and let us
entertain your group with an intimate wine tasting here
at the store's tasting bar some evening in the new year. We will
customize a wine theme to accommodate your interest level and
budget. Appetizers or light hors d' oeuvres can
also be arranged. A perfect "warm up" before you all go off to dinner
somewhere....with designated drivers or chauffeurs in charge.
A tasting usually last about an hour
to ninety minutes. Riedel crystal stemware is the norm. We can make
it casual and fun to serious and blind (if you know what I mean!)
Depending upon the wines selected, a minimum base cost for a party of ten
is $250. That's only twenty five dollars a person!! And your
shopping is over!!! Just a little coordination, and I know
this is going to be such a great gift to give and receive!!!
We will provide a
ready-to-personalize wine tasting invitation for every
guest, suitable to insert in your gift greeting card. You can
consult with your guests to schedule a mutually agreed upon date after the
holiday season has subsided.
And although we would love you to
visit the store and see what a great private party venue it can be (and browse
the inventory while you sip a sample from the tasting bar!), all orders can be
made by direct e-mail response or telephone. We will be pleased to mail
your invitations to you at no extra charge.
I know what some of you non-local and out-of-state
guys are thinking! We can arrange your accomodations if you wish to
travel to our beautiful city and really treat your friends to an over-the-top
wine tasting experience! IT'S ALL HERE IN BEAUTIFUL CITRUS HEIGHTS
CALIFORNIA!!!
