Renee here -
First of all, THANK YOU VERY MUCH to
those wine friends and customers who actually provided us with your
name, email address, and phone number in response to signing up for a
membership number... Yes it's true- some or part of your info is
readily available, sometimes it's not. And, due to our shall we say,
lack of computer organization, it's a real drag to move from program to
program and computer to computer retrieving information. Blah blah
blah blah, blah blah blah blah. For those of you paying attention so
far, there is a "winner" buried in here somewhere! Said winner must
respond by email before midnight, Saturday April 11th.
So! For those of you who haven't
signed up, there's still time.....there is always time! Kindly provide
your name, email address, and phone number. Don't be shy about the
phone number thing- we are definitely NOT into telemarketing!
TELEMARKETING SUCKS! I read about a great trick to piss of the
telemarketers- ask them to hold on, then set the phone down and walk
away! Waste their time, as they have yours... Still reading? Still
wanna know if you're a winner?
What does any of this have to do with
wine? Nothing so far-
Remember,
to facilitate the old cutting and pasting, here's an example:

Amador
County - Youngs Vineyard wines! Although popular, I
don't really believe this winery qualifies as cult followed! Unless
you have a fetish for wine bottles with clown labels, or you mistakenly
believe a former 49ner quarterback has turned winemaker The winery
has gained a reputation of opening one weekend out of the year and
completely selling out.....every year! We have not been allowed
to taste the about-to-be released 2001 vintage wines. Youngs is not
making them available to the retail trade until AFTER the BIG
FRENZIED release at the winery this weekend. It seems as if Youngs
does not want to compete with the local merchants on its release
date. Typically, the wines are difficult to assess because they are
always in "bottle shock" from just being bottled a week or so prior
to release. However, given a year in the bottle, the wines seem to
always reward with wonderful forward fruit aromas and flavors. Prices
seem to be edging upward, but still provide relative value.
Reliable rumor has it that only the
Cabernet is limited by demand and may sell out. The winery's price is
$32 a bottle. All four wines will be available for merchants to order
for their customers beginning this Monday; the Cabernet Sauvignon,
Zinfandel, Syrah and Barbera. I will have to special order them, but
did you know that there are still abundant quantities of the 2000 Zin
and Syrah still available from last year?
Preorder the following Youngs wine
