More Important Announcements!

I always try to maintain regular store hours, but I wanted to let everyone know that The Wine Consultant will be closed this Tuesday, June 3rd. We have an Austrian trade tasting on Monday and a German trade tasting on Tuesday to attend in San Francisco. Many of you have wine orders to pickup and I know how unsettling it can be to make the effort only to find out the store is closed. Normal store hours will resume on Wednesday, June 4th when the store opens at 11 am.
Store Hours: Tuesday through Friday - 11 am to 7 pm, Saturday from 10 am to 6 pm. Closed on Sunday and Monday. THE TASTING BAR IS ALWAYS OPEN!

Also, with the hot weather coming down the pike, I wanted to remind you of the year round deal/arrangement The Wine Consultant has with Vintage Cellars in San Marcos, California. Most of you know that TWC stopped selling wine cabinets, racking systems and refrigeration units about 3 years ago. My focus remains on fine wine! However, I encourage you to contact the professionals at Vintage Cellars for all of your wine cellar needs! Vintage Cellars only provides the highest quality product lines and will consult with you on all of your wine cellar requirements. Vintage Cellars advertises in most of the wine magazines that it guarantees lowest pricing. As a BONUS, IF YOU MENTION AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE THAT YOU WERE REFERRED BY THE WINE CONSULTANT, YOU WILL RECEIVE A STORE CREDIT AT THE WINE CONSULTANT FOR 10% OF YOUR PURCHASE VALUE!! www.vintagecellars.com 1 (800) 876-8789
Locally, I recommend two general contractors for wine cellar installation and racking systems:
Mark Sweeden - Mark recently did the beautiful Tuscan store remodel and tasting bar at TWC if you have not seen it!!
(916) 624-5553 (Rocklin)
Perry Sims - Great craftsman and if you like to fly fish, this is your new guide and best buddy!!
(916) 939-4260 (El Dorado Hills)

These German wines sold out immediately two weeks ago.......I WAS PLEASANTLY SURPRISED THIS AFTERNOON WHEN ANOTHER CASE OF EACH ARRIVED AT THE BACKDOOR!!
GERMAN RIESLING!.......2001 GERMAN RIESLING!
For those of you who know, I thought that might get your attention!! Described as the best vintage since the legendary 1971, there has been a modern day gold rush for the best of the 2001 vintage. These wines exemplify why Riesling is considered the most serious white wine varietal in the global market. Yesterday, I received my long awaited allocation of Emerich Schonleber's 2001 Rieslings; three selections, but regretfully only ONE case of each wine! Thus, I have no other choice, but to offer them to you as a 3 bottle set.
- QbA Halbtrocken Nahe Monzinger - $14.50 NET
"Bright and juicy, offering pear, quince, citrus and mineral aromas and flavors on a focused, balanced frame. Drink now through 2004. 600 cases produced." - WS 88. Perfect pairing last night with grilled curried salmon fillet and pear chutney.
- Kabinett Nahe Monzinger Fruhlingsplatzchen - $19.95 NET
"Dense and aromatic, this reeks of minerals, lime and red fruits, very tightly wound and deeply rooted in the terroir. It builds in intensity to a tremendous finish, with an aftertaste of herbs and minerals. Best from 2004 through 2012. 420 cases produced." - WS 92 - Grilled bockwurst or pork tenderloin with spicy fruit infused mustard sauce!
- Spatlese Nahe Monzinger Halenberg - $29.95 NET
" A racy, mineral-drenched Riesling, more on the mineral side than fruit, with peach and nectarine notes deeply embedded. Not that expressive today, but persistent, structured and long on the finish. Best from 2004 though 2012. 290 cases produced" - WS 91 - A brooding "giant" of a wine, the razor edged acidity promises great evolution with cellaring.
Only 12 Sets Are Available at $59.95. Order Now By Reply Email! All orders will be honored and confirmed in the order received.
Passionately yours about wine!
