Certainly, most of you
who know of this Australian producer will react immediately, so you
have an unfair advantage over those who really need to catch the fever
and at least try a bottle for convincing! I can see all of you smiling
and clicking while those who delay even a minute will be looking for a
rationalization. There must be some adjunct to a Darwin theory here
about "survival to the....."!
I don't mean to be
smug or offer you immediate information concerning the Marquis Philips'
wines. Even while you continue to read this far into the email you are
losing out to the possibility of securing bottles of this wine. The
smart guys are not bothering to read this print...they have already
clicked on reply!
I have 30 cases of
the 2002 Marquis Philips Shiraz to sell.....and it is probably half
gone if you are down to this point....still reading....not trusting
your instinct.....not trusting your wine consultant. Remember,
everyone receives this email at the same time and time is now of the
essence!!

collaboration of the talented winemaking team of Sarah and Sparky
Marquis and internationally renowned importer Dan Philips. Dan
Philips is the importer of the Paringa Shiraz many of you have recently
discovered. Do you remember the Parson's Flat? Marquis Philips Shiraz
is the quintessential fruit bomb! Do you like blueberry/blackberry
pie filling?
If not, just delete and forget about
it. No need to continue. 2001 vintage of Marquis Philips was
great! The official Australian Vintage report, a 17 page journal,
rates the 2002 vintage superior to the 2001! To
excerpt...."...varietal definition and refined flavors will be the
hallmark of the 2002 vintage...red varietals are positively exceptional
with outstanding complexity and flavor..." Robert Parker bestowed 93
points on the 2001 MP Shiraz and
