that time of year again! And I have been waiting patiently for
this release as the 1999 Silver Oak's Alexander Valley Cabernet
Sauvignon is probably the most successful "Alex" since the 1994
vintage. The vintage conscious consumer already knows the cold spring,
cool but early summer, and warm September concluded in a low yield 1999
harvest resulting in wines of intense concentration and exemplary
balance.

1999 Cabernet Sauvignon Alexander Valley touts an intense olive, smoky,
toasty nose intermixed with kirsch liquer and currant fruit. The wine
is sweet, dense, with an opaque ruby/purple color, expansive fat
mid-palate, and long finish." - 90-92 points (barrel tasting) - Robert
Parker, Wine Advocate #132 (December 2000)

1999 Silver Oak Alexander Valley is a classic, rich Cabernet Sauvignon
with a dark, ruby color and a complex nose of cassis, blueberries,
cherries, nutmeg, chocolate and sandalwood. It is luscious and
full-bodied on the palate and has a long, fruit-laden finish
