#1 - 2008 Wine of the Year by Wine Spectator

2005 CLOS APALTA

Dear Wine Friend,

I have been harping about the virtues of Chilean Carmenere for some time now.  Back in July, I predicted the 2005 Clos Apalta, a Carmenere based Bordeaux blend, from Casa Lapostolle was "WOTY quality" and would "easily contend" for the Wine Spectator's 2008 Wine of the Year - #1 Wine Top 100.

NOW the results have finally just been released!  And guess what???  Call me clairvoyant, but we were believers too!  So I stashed some bottles away, and now can re-offer you a limited amount of Wine Spectator's  # 1 - 2008 Wine of the Year!

Let's remember, the 2005 Clos Apalta was selected over the highest scoring 2005 vintage wines from Bordeaux, definitely the most expensive, and perhaps the greatest modern vintage from this hallowed region.  It is the first time a wine from South America has won the honor since the award's inception in 1988.  Only about 3,200 cases (5,987 produced) were imported into the American market beginning last May.
Instantly, on the world's stage, the 2005 Clos Apalta has become the most in demand and collectible wine of the present time.

2005 Clos Apalta
originally sold for $79.95 a bottle, and as I write, is presently selling on the internet at merchant & auction websites at up to $129 a bottle.  This price will continue to escalate, especially after the Wine Spectator's Top 100 Wines of the Year issue is published and distributed at the end of the month.

A limited amount of the 2005 Clos Apalta is now available to request order at $112.95 a bottle.    Simply reply directly to this email.
