This blend was created
in 1997 to celebrate the birth of Dennis' first son Alec. His stature has been growing ever since, and last
year's bottling was one of the highest-scoring Napa Valley wines from
the 2000 vintage. For 2001 we have again
blended 60% Syrah and 40% Merlot to create this rich and exotic wine. Loaded with blackberry fruit, mocha, lavender,
sweet oak and vanillin spice, Alec strikes the sweet spot between
rustic and refined character with his latest wine. 700
cases produced.

its debut in 1998, our 2002 Sonoma Chardonnay from Dutton Ranch
vineyards is balanced, crisp and delicious. Drawn
from mature, low-yielding Russian River vines, the wine has a
distinctive Muscat quality with honey, citrus and vanilla bean aromas. Framed in toasty oak and filled with ripe apricot
and fig fruit flavors, the wine finishes with trademark Meyer lemon
zest. 1,200 cases produced.

pear and stone-fruit flavors run rich and turn creamy in texture on the
