Roguish Behavior!

PlumpJack 2000 Cabernet Sauvignon - Oakville Estate, Napa Valley
- Certainly not a wine of roguish character! Although, a few bottles of this delightfully sophisticated black cherry elixir might illicit some fun loving and spirited irreverent behavior! After hoisting my goblet and swirling copious amounts over the rim, I was still able to identify unique aromas of dried sweet herbs mingled with ripe jammy black stone fruit preserves. Without thinking I grabbed the largest smoked turkey drumstick and gnawed a voracious bite from it! The ensuing gulp of my wine, although it left my vessel empty, allowed me to fully appreciate the sweet black fruit juice; spice nuance and enhanced by a background of baker's chocolate and vanilla, culminating in a rich long finish. Ahhhh! I pounded my goblet to the table and bellowed, "That was good!! Open another bottle!" The Wine Spectator liked it too and bestowed this wine with a 91 point rating! Available to sample at the tasting bar this Friday and Saturday!
