THE GREATEST DEAL ON NAPA VALLEY'S MOST CULT WINE!

Dear Wine Friend!

The funny thing about Screaming Eagle is how nobody has ever tasted it. And for those few who have, they discover that the hype can not possibly justify the price.  But please, do click on the link above regarding the "Screaming" details.....just make sure you click on it during daylight hours.

The weather is beginning to warm up a little, so here are a couple of my best white wine values that might be flying under your radar.

Continuing with the avian theme, how about some of the 07 Raptor Ridge Pinot Gris from Oregon's Willamette Valley?  Urgently picked right before the rains fell early on the 07 harvest, this very successful wine was slowly fermented  in stainless steel over three months. This Pinot Gris delivers a refreshing melange of bright tropical citrus fruit on the nose and palate.  Perfectly balanced by brisk acidity (no m/l), this wine can be enjoyed on its own, or make an ideal accompaniment to crab, scallops, or grilled fish with any Asian spin. It always sells out whenever poured at Saturday's Tasting Bar. - $17.95 OR $16.95 on 3 bottles! (Case price is $15.80 a bottle).

Rarely do I find a classic California Chardonnay at such a reasonable price!!  Do you remember back when Dick Arrowood was the winemaker at Chateau St. Jean, and he first produced his legendary Chardonnay from the famed Robert Young Vineyard in Alexander Valley, Sonoma?  Arrowood sold his eponymous winery to Mondavi, and we know what happened next with Constellation Brands.  However, Chateau St. Jean is still flying strong!  Barrel fermented, and sur lie aged, the malo-lactic is traditionally restrained to protect this classic's vibrancy. Doesn't your nest need at least a few bottles of the 2006 Chateau St. Jean Chardonnay, Robert Young Vineyard?  Scored 92 points by the Wine Spectator.  Normally a must purchase at $25.95 a bottle.  Swoop in NOW for only $19.95 a bottle!!!  ORDER UP!!
