by Roessler Cellars
is THE
bargain!! If Roessler is
unfamiliar to you, it specializes in sourcing
and vineyard designating, limited
production, terroir stamped Pinot Noir
under the direction of superstar winemaker Wells
Guthrie (Copain fame!). However, the
07 Red Label
is exactly the opposite, but who
cares? Mr. Guthrie achieves a brilliant
alchemy from a hodgepodge blend of "leftover"
Sonoma wines. It's a win-win for winery and
consumer. The stunning 07
Red Label reminds me of the beautiful red
cherries in season at the
moment. Add some spice, a supple velvety
texture, and a vapor trail finish.....

Beautifully defined fruit is ripe,
intense, focused and layered, built around a core of
blueberry and wild raspberry. Firms up nicely on the
finish, where the tannins give the flavors traction.
