Dear
Wine Friend,
If
you have not heard, the 2007 vintage
for Cabernet Sauvignon (red wines et al.) will
probably rival the very best wines ever
produced from Napa Valley and
Sonoma. Concentration and richness will be
the 07's trademarks. I shudder to think how prices may
escalate.
Karen
Culler is one Napa Valley's leading "hired gun"
winemakers (Ladera, Renteria, Wolf Family, to name a
few). But lucky for us, she has not
been reading the press clippings when it comes
to producing her own
wine. Culler's impeccable fruit sourcing
and creative winemaking has produced
a remarkable 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon from
Napa Valley she calls "Casaeda" under her eponymous
label. "Casaeda" will dazzle your palate, and keep
money in your pocket.
THE
TRICK?
Culler
is not only known for her work with Cabernet
Sauvignon, but also Syrah. The core
of "Casaeda" is 77% Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa
Valley's sub-appellations of Howell Mountain, and Oak
Knoll. Guess what? The remaining
component is a stiff dose
of seriously complementary Syrah.
IT
WORKS!!
Not
only will the mid-palate dazzle you with fresh, intense,
"high octane" ripe black cherry fruit,
but the wine turbo charges to a most
lengthy finish to exceed all
expectations! ABSOLUTELY
DELICIOUS!
ALL OF THIS FOR JUST $29.95 A
BOTTLE.

OR
SIX
BOTTLES FOR $26.96
OR
12 BOTTLES OR MORE FOR
$25.75
14 months in 25% new & 75% once
used French oak barrels. Unfined &
unfiltered. 393 cases produced. The
"Casaeda" is approachable now for the thrill, but
certainly has the depth to age into a beaut. Won't
it be fun to compare the dollar value with the
higher priced "spreads".
