Made from 100% Tempranillo from vines over 30 years of age. A traditional fermentation in cement vats. Though the legal definition of “Reserva” in the region of Rioja requires 3 years of aging, with a minimum of just one year in barrel, this wine spends 24 months in barriques and one year in bottle before release, and achieves a complete integration of the flavors of grape and wood, plus the mellowness that only time can provide. A phenomenal value easily the equivalent to Riojas at least twice the price.

"Fresh, firm and long. This balanced red offers crisp cherry, cola, vanilla, tobacco and fresh herb flavors, supported by well-integrated tannins that give way to a spicy floral finish. Drink now through 2011." 90 points / Smart Buy - Wine Spectator
